Bastien Soleil

Bastien Soleil initially had a career as a business owner in the center of France before leaving it all behind in 2010 to respond to an irresistible inner calling. This profound need for freedom and truth led him to Asia, where he embarked on a spiritual and initiatory odyssey, encountering the sacred traditions of Buddhism, from the far reaches of Nepal to the banks of the Ganges, through the sacred temples of Thailand and Myanmar. These hours, days, and months of meditation were driven by a visceral need to dive deep into the human soul, into inner life, into his own life.

In 2017, Bastien found his element: water. Freediving became for him much more than a physical practice; it was a true revelation. Far from being just a discipline, freediving was for him an inner dive, a way to connect to a deeper reality, perfectly aligned with his spiritual quest.

One day, as his intensive freediving practice liberated him from the constraints of immersion, he became a witness to the incredible beauty, which he describes as divine, of light passing through water in the form of rays sculpting the depths in a poetic and powerful ballet.

This moment marked a revelation: the underwater chiaroscuro immediately mirrored his own quest for Light. His artistic path had just revealed itself to him.

In 2019, he bought his first camera, and like an explorer facing an uncharted mountain, he began his ascent, step by step, searching for his style and technique.

Today, his art, with its visually striking simplicity and the profound messages it conveys, contrasts with the complexity of its execution. Exhibited in the United States, Monaco, and France, his work is now featured in prestigious private collections. His future looks promising, and his art is destined for growing success.
