Created exclusively through freediving, in natural environments, and using only the light of the real world, his artworks involve no retouching, no digital artifices, and no use of artificial intelligence. This is not a technical constraint, but a deeply held conviction: that authentic beauty, when captured with precision and patience, is enough in itself.

 

Behind the apparent grace of these images lies a unique artistic rigor, a sharp eye, and an unparalleled level of discipline. Each piece is carefully conceived, prepared like a living scene, an embodied vision. The models - professional dancers - are personally trained by Bastien in the practice of freediving so they can bring his compositions to life in a rare state of presence, in a suspended moment of grace and eternity. This meticulous work allows for the creation of a choreography where every movement, every flicker of light, every shadow or dimness carries deep meaning.

 

Inspired by founding myths, universal archetypes, and his own spiritual path, Bastien Soleil uses water in all its complexity and poetry. His works speak of transformation, shedding, and resilience. The human body becomes a symbol, revealing our inner states of being.
